Coticule Whetstone 8000-10000.
The stone represents composition of shale and sandstone with impregnations of garnet crystals. These protruding crystals provide the abrasive effect. The concentration of garnet grains reaches from 30 to 42%. Metal removal rate is similar to synthetic stones. By sharpening with this stone density of suspension is important. The thickest suspension can reach 1000-2000 grit according to Japanese system JIS. Intended for finishing. The sharpening result is similar to Blak Arkansas, gives mat secondary bevel.
The stone is suitable for TSPROF K03 and Blitz knife sharpeners.
Work recommendations: it is a waterstone, for efficient work it's necessary to make a water suspension. May require levelling before work. Doesn't require soaking.
