"Blue Belgian Whetstone 200x70
The stone represents composition of shale and sandstone with impregnations of garnet crystals. These protruding crystals provide the abrasive effect. Bluish-purple colour of the stone comes from the presence of iron oxide. The concentration of garnet grains in Blue Belgian Whetstone is 25-30 % of the total volume of the stone (grain size from 10 to 25 microns). Blue Belgian Whetstone has high hardness and works quite fine and fast. Is suitable for pre-finishing.
Work recommendations: it is a water stone, for efficient work it's necessary to make a water suspension. May require levelling before work. Doesn't require soaking.
